HSEVEN, a startup accelerator based in Morocco, has rolled out a new program dubbed ‘HSEVEN DISRUPT AFRICA’ through which it will be offering equity investment deals.
The program will run for 6 months.
For early-stage startups, investment tickets will be at 150,000 euros. In turn, the accelerator will get 5 to 7% in equity.
After the program, more €500,000 to €1.5 million will be added.
Only 10 seed and early-stage startups with 2 to 5 founders will be selected.
‘HSEVEN DISRUPT AFRICA’ says it will help startups in a number of ways, including developing a growth strategy, connections to great partners and more.
“For six months, we’ll guide you take your startup to the next level. The program will start with an intense 3-month growth phase focused on your startups’ strategy, experiments and growth tactics. HSEVEN team in collaboration with our mentors and experts will follow you closely, and we will work on everything from adjusting the product-market fit to defining a target market, through building traction,” the program says on its website.
“The second 3-months will be crucial to develop key partnerships with major corporations and in preparing for fundraising and investors meeting. HSEVEN team will actively initiate contacts with the right VCs in Africa and around the world. Also, we will set up one-on-one meetings with our network of influential leaders who will act as an adviser, client, partner or investor.”
The partners on this project are venture capital firm Azur Partners, the Dutch Good Growth Fund (DGGF), the Innov-Invest program of the Caisse Centrale de Garantie (CCG) and the World Bank.
There is also Fabernovel, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), l’École Centrale, Amazon Web Services and over 50 other Venture Capital firms.
“We will bring the best Moroccan, African, and African-at-heart entrepreneurs from all over the world to build impactful world-class African startups,” said Amine Al-Hazzaz, Founder & CEO of HSEVEN.
